Painting in watercolor, acrylic, pastel and creating quilled pictures, Mary Jane is motivated and inspired by reaction. The reaction of light on an object and the shadow it creates and the reaction of the viewer to the whimsy of her Quilled pictures. She is constantly exploring different media, the results of such experimentation, and the way the viewer responds to it.
